With a well-established presence as a maker of in-ear headphones (the company's S4i is a gdgt-recommended model), Klipsch has begun moving into on-ear versions, and the Image ONE is a great start (the company has two higher-end on-ear models, including a $349 noise-canceling version) . They're lightweight, comfortable, have great sound, with strong, but not overwhelming, bass. An inline remote can control iOS devices, and a mic is included for those times when you just have to answer the phone.

The Image One's bass outmuscles the competition and tight earcup seals hush external noise. With a closed-back design, a solid two-year warranty, and more lifelike sound details at half the price of competitive models, the affordable Klipsch Image One well deserves our ... recommendation.

Klipsch’s first on-ear headphones aren’t much to look at, but they’re surprisingly powerful, almost too much so. If you like booming bass and don’t care for surround sound and all that jazz, these could be good for you.

We found them to be lightweight and comfy to wear, while the inclusion of a protective case is also a nice touch. More importantly, the audio quality is extremely good although you'll need to look elsewhere if it's noise-cancelling technology that you're after.

At $149.99 the Image ONE from Klipsch has a lot going for it though it's far from perfect. If you're one to listen to well-recorded, perhaps self-ripped, digital music at moderate levels, then the Image ONE is going to be ideal for you.

The Image One is a well-built and well-appointed headphone that will please people who like music served loud and with lots of bass. Buyers looking for accuracy and a balanced sound should look elsewhere.

Plugged in and playing Common's Like Water For Chocolate, the Image Ones show authentic poise. The treble is beautifully judged, attacking crisply without becoming unduly hard even at volume.

I also wanted to point out that the Microphone on these sets picks up every noise possible around you, the microphone is not noise cancelling when you are on a call. I had the AC running in my living room and my friend could hear the AC as loud as my voice, even though in the real environment,...

I cant think of a purpose for these, because they let all noise in, and become uncomfortable very quickly (for me at least). My ears get really hot after 20 minutes and i just have to take them off. This is too bad, because they sound great and look really good too. Wouldn't recommend.

I tried a ton of on-ear headphones with inline controls and the Image Ones had the best sound. Everything I threw at it, from Jay-Z to Dean Martin, sounded fantastic. I was not that happy with the cord being attached to both cups, but decided that was a minor issue. Unfortunately on day 5 the...
