The beauty of it is that it just works. Hardly ever do you you tap on a note to no effect. It's just so accurate in its playback duties. We've used the pen in a wide range of situations ... And it works every time, exactly as you want it to. quote

Livescribe Echo is a high-tech bridge between analog, handwritten notes and the digital world. Synced audio and text makes notes even more useful. Though using its features, and even just handling the hefty pen, can take some getting used to, this is a writing instrument any gadget geek will love.

I purchased my Livescribe Echo when I started graduate school; I intended to use the pen to write down lectures and capture audio. Overall, the pen works really well and does exactly what it's sold to do - if you use the special Livescribe paper it will record notes and audio extremely well....
