Logitech's wireless Anywhere Mouse MX may be designed for portability, but it's also one of the best desktop mice we've used. Its tracking technology allows you to use it on just about any surface; it's designed for both comfort and portability; and power users will find no fewer than seven programmable buttons. While Logitech's larger Performance Mouse MX is also a solid choice, the Anywhere Mouse wins our recommendation for its portability, ergonomic, symmetrical design, and low price. For $40, the Anywhere Mouse does everything the $70 Performance Mouse does, and still fits comfortably in your laptop bag.

It's definitely one of the best travel mice we've used, and the fact that it has better trackability with Darkfield means you won't need to bring a mousepad along with you.

The bottom line: The Anywhere Mouse MX bears Logitech's multiconnective Unifying receiver and glass-tracking Darkfield laser, but $80 is too much for a portable mouse--especially when the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 costs half the price for almost the same features.

The Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX is an attractive, effective and cleverly designed wireless mouse for use on the go. With plenty of innovative features and the ability to work on pretty much any surface, this product can warrant its relatively high price tag.

The largest drawbacks are the lack of wired operating and the imperfect gliding traits of our test unit. The very good overall impression remains almost undimmed and thus we can recommend the Anywhere MX as a mobile notebook mouse.

This thing feels a lot better than it looks in pictures. The top is glossy, but not a cheap plastic. The mouse is heavier than my previous Nano VX, which is a good thing. It's sturdier, and is smoother on the surface.

I use this mouse for CAD and graphic design. I've always been a fan of Logitech mice but often despised the drivers. Setpoint was often bloated in the past and didn't seem to help the precision of the mouse movement. Setpoint seems to have settled down to more useful app now and I do use it to...

I really like it, but am noticing that I go through two AA batteries a month. I bought rechargeable ones, but if you plan on using it more than 4 hours a day I say you should consider that as part of the cost...And get 4 rechargeable batteries. Nothing sucks worse than realizing you forgot to...

This is the perfect mouse to accompany a laptop. It is small enough to fit in your pocket, yet still comfortable in the hand. I use it for gaming and I have absolutely no issue with accuracy issues.

I had to knock an extra point off because every time I take my laptop out of standby, the scrolling gets messed up, but a quick power cycle of the mouse fixes it.

This mouse has a lot of strong points, with an efficient design, a good look-and-feel (although its finish is not great), and decent accuracy. It's also fairly configurable thanks to the Logitech utility. So why did I give it a final grade of 5 when I put all the grades to "good" in the...
