The Beats Solo by Dr. Dre Headphones from Monster offer a killer, travel-friendly design that's sure to turn heads, but the audio quality fails to live up to the price tag.

They look great. They're sturdy. And they've got Dr. Dre's name written all over them. For many people, that's enough. But if you truly care about sound quality, you should probably look elsewhere.

Though the bass may be a little heavy for some and the iPod/iPhone functions don’t work for all models, let’s be honest: We think this set of headphones is first class, indeed.

While the design of these headphones are shockingly sexy, The very intense and overpowering bass and the muddy mids and highs make these a very confortable subwoofer. The band of the solos have a tendency to break, but the 1 Year warranty by Monster is pretty neat-o.

I'm not totally impressed, since I've owned them, they have been getting progressively worse, sound like the left side crackles, until you have to press them to stop it. They sure are pretty though!
