Oppo may not be a familiar player in the smartphone market, but their Find 5 is a 5-inch 1080p Android device that offers a sleek design and beautiful display, though not without some caveats. phoneArena calls the screen "brilliant, with bright colors" and Android Police says the display offers "good colors, decent brightness, and of course, eye-melting sharpness." Of course, a larger screen equals a bigger phone, but PC Mag says "Oppo makes it feel manageable." It also uses more of the battery, but Android Police found that "generally, battery life was pretty good," and GSM Arena said the Find 5 "did pretty well when it comes to talking, but once that big screen comes on, the battery is put under a noticeably bigger strain." On the back of the Find 5 is a 13MP camera, which PC Mag calls a "solid camera" and GSM Arena says the resolution is "good, if unspectacular." show more

The Oppo Find 5 is a high-end Android phone with an excellent display and solid build quality. Unfortunately, it is let down by questionable ergonomics, a lack of 4G, some odd software quirks and poor battery life.

Oppo doesn't have a history in phones, but you'd never tell just by looking at the Find 5. It's a beautiful device with killer specs and, better still, it's priced lower than the competition.

For their first foray into smartphones, Oppo has gotten so much right that they deserve a lot of credit. 2013 may be the year of the 5 inch screen, but the Oppo Find 5 is certainly the first real blockbuster.

If you're considering the Find 5, I'd advise you to wait ... That said, the Find 5 is the first smartphone out of China I've seen that really makes a solid effort at competing with the smartphone big boys - Oppo could be a company to watch in the next few years.

The Find 5 uses the same gorgeous five-inch 1080p screen as HTC's Droid DNA and Butterfly, but what really blew us away was the new phone's solid build quality -- a huge improvement from the older Finder we brought along.

The Oppo Find 5 is certainly an interesting looking product. It's large 5in display means it will compete directly against Samsung's popular Galaxy Note devices but it will be one of the first smartphones with a full HD 1080p display to launch in Europe and other international markets.

When the device is off, the display is so black you’ll not be able to tell where the blackness of the bezel stops and the screen begins. The bezel around this device’s display is quite thin to begin with at 3.25mm.
