Detailed review
Paid $2500 for this TV in the spring of 2006. In December of 2008, I noticed a blue haze, signaling a failure of the optical block assembly. The cost to repair? A mere $1200. And this problem is endemic across the entire line of Sony LCoS sets (basically anything in the Grand Wega line). And Sony refuses to do anything about it. Oh, they offered to sell me a new Bravia for $1800 - when I can buy the exact same model for $300 less at any reputable online retailer

There's a class action suit in the works, but Sony still refuses to stand behind their defective products.

I will never buy another Sony product.
