Xi3 showed off their "Steam Box" at CES 2013, codenamed Piston. The Piston is expected to have 1TB of storage and the option to upgrade the CPU and RAM. Additional ports include an Ethernet port, four USB 2.0 ports, four USB 3.0 ports and two Mini DisplayPorts. Pricing is expected to start around $999.

So far, we've only gotten a brief look at some custom UI running on top of Windows, and even that wasn't final software. Finally, though, we caught up with the Xi3 team and had a chance to see the still-unnamed UI in action. By default, the Piston boots straight into this custom interface.
