and the funny part is that verizon and sprint both had a larger 3G footprint than at&t when at&t and apple started advertising 3G and making it all sound cool, well, they are getting what they deserve... they started the 3G thing so they should accept their place as third in 3G.
i live in cell south country and they really do have the best coverage of all the carriers... if i didn't work for another wireless carrier, i would use them.
On sprints higher end phones, the subsidy isn't as high because their plans are the best in the country. Emgadget has temporarily lost their minds by not rationalizing this in their post. But it doesn't surprise me.
good in theory, bad in practice. there needs to be some sort of smart filtering to prevent torrent traffic from eating up bandwidth. also, most of the dumbasses supporting this fail to realize that only the government is the only ones that are going to benefit for this, not consumers. they control the bandwidth, they sell the bandwidth... so by forcing providers to do this, they are going to sell more bandwidth. it's that simple. and with engadget being owned by aol it would seem that engadget would support a way to make things more efficient, not putting a strain on providers.
wow... so i guess this solidifies that at&t upper management really has no clue. at&t really has no competitive edge except the iphone. funny how crappy the company has turned given the deep pockets could have made them the best... but the ceo that brought at&t back together was hand picked to run GM... i guess in a few years they will have crappier cars than kia. at&t has a heritage of effing things up.
back to school. don't mind if i do.
acer. yes. acer. a free acer. yes. a free acer. thanks.
i bet google starts putting in links to lifehacker for the above sentence.
@ Level 5
why would google support adblock when it's big money maker is ads???? that would be kind of a dumb idea. as many products and services google gives away for free, i'm sure, they want to keep the way they make money protected....
if it were up to me and fixing the economy, i'd lock bill gates and mark shuttleworth in a room until they figured it... that would be fair.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
