Yeah I know the feeling. It was either a new vehicle, or miscellaneous geeky toys including this. Sigh. It was damn hard to pass up. Friggin' impulse buy price range.
WiFi but block voip. Sigh. Where there's a will there's a way, I suppose someone would find a way to do it.

So much for having a peaceful flight...alright so maybe it wasn't all that peaceful with the screaming babies, toddlers kicking my seat back, listening to obnoxious people having idle chit chat, etc.

...so about those noise canceling headphones?
EVDO's great, but only if you live in an area where it's actually present. Thus the reason why many of us need WiFi in addition to EVDO (in fact I'm lucky if I can find an actual EVDO signal...most everything out here is 1x). It uses the Qualcomm MSM7500 @ 400mhz right? That's the same processor that's in the Mogul...which was mediocre to be honest. On the plus side I'm digging the 256mb's of ram and 64mb rom. Almost don't need to cook oems into a rom with that amount of space. Just stick WiFi, GPS, and a better processor in it and I'll bite.
So rather than bashing the phone...or bashing the iPhone I'd rather post something useful. Here's my thoughts on the phone.

Pros:
Aesthetically pleasing
TouchFlo interface
EVDO Rev. A
Supports SDHC (can't wait for those sweet ass 8gb cards to hit the market)

Cons:
No Wifi (deal breaker for me)
No slide out keyboard (I guess it's not so bad with programs like TouchPal or some of the other programs out there now)
Not so great processor
No GPS (has A-GPS but I think it's locked down so you can't use it.)
Locked to Sprint PCS (unless someone sends this phone to a certain individual over in Indonesia and gets it cracked)

I think I'll just stick to my HTC Apache for a while longer.

Anyone else want to add to the pros and cons list?
@James Sonne Are you out of your mind? If the words "I'm an engineering student, it's just a gimmick. Here, I'll show you." had left her mouth, she would have been gunned down on the spot because they would have construed that as "Hey I'm going to blow myself up." Further more last time I checked we have this whole right to not incriminate ones self. Kinda means you don't have to answer anything they ask you unless you want to. Granted it might have been wise to say it's just showing off her nerdiness, she didn't have to. As for the Maj. Pare's statement about being disgusted that someone would wear such a thing? What the hell? It's a nerd statement. LOTS of people do it.

Airport security agents need to be thoroughly screened before they should even be given the job. Not to mention they should be properly trained on how to spot an explosive device. Most of the airport security personnel I've encountered were incompetent morons who couldn't differentiate an explosive device from an external hard drive. (I didn't appreciate being escorted from the check point because some idiot isn't up to date on modern technology.)
$5.02 [Maximum bid of $8.32, a bottle cap with a coke code on it, a movie ticket stub, and some pocket lint.]
The Treo 700wx is a completely different phone. You'll just brick it if you try to flash it with a ppc-6700 rom.

Folks this upgrade is ONLY for Apache users. Just cross your fingers, perhaps your phone might get blessed with an upgrade in the future :)
Big deal? Umm...yeah you know it kind of is? Sprint hasn't rolled out any updates for the 6700 since AKU 2.2. In fact they don't even support the phone anymore because it's already EOL. Thank to people at ppcgeeks and xda-dev I've had a chance to actually have a half decent phone rather than a pos crippled by sprint.

Now the upgrade from WM5 to WM6 is freaking phenomenal. The boot time is faster, programs and applications load faster, sure there's a few bugs in the beginning (You know the phone's NOT even supposed to have WM6 which is kind of a big deal in itself).

If you look at the big picture, with a community that's actively modifying and supporting a phone like this, it actually rivals some of the newest phones on the market. I myself was going to switch to a mogul, but with this upgrade why bother? There's going to be roms and kitchens galore soon.
Your phone would have to be a type of device that is actually designed to be running a windows mobile operating system for starters. Unfortunately motorola MotoRAZR's aren't pdas or smartphones, so they are not capable of running windows mobile.
It's real :) The files were made available to the public at 12:00 this morning on the ppcgeeks irc channel. We were quite shocked actually, here most people were thinking it would be released later that day if at all.

By the way WM6 is extremely fast and stable on my phone [Sprint PPC-6700]. It's a very noticeable upgrade! I'm going to be sticking with it over WM5.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
