bcomment, are you really that much of a city-boy pansy or did you write this in your sleep? Seriously, come on. Some of us who happen to like technology also have lives, lives in which there are things which need cutting. Victorinox knives have an incredible reputation, and their blades are very high quality. They aren't going anywhere. And in your second comment you continue to make a ridiculous assumption: you fly every day. When I fly, once in a while, I pull out my knife and drop it in a check-in bag. When I get to my destination, I pull it out. As you can tell, it gets really complicated. Come on dude. Stop being a narrow minded idiot. It suits you not at all.
Dude, if he made the driving wheel work with MarioKart, I'd totally do this to my 64. That game was the best thing to happen to Nintendo since SuperSmash Bros.
@ phanbouy Wow: bachelors AND a masters. Oh, and by the war. . . I'm a high school graduate as of last June but hey, at least I can freaking spell. At least make sure things are spelled right when you're bragging on yourself.
Anyhow, I think that private companies like Amtrak need to be spending money on this, not the feds. I work to go to school, and the thought that I am working hours of my life to pay the federal government so they can pay not only for a war that I don't support but also for projects that do this Floridian no good makes me sick. Like I said, why don't Amtrak and Union Pacific, who actually would have a stake in this if it worked, put in some dollars to research a clean, cheap alternative to oil?
Yeah, appearance isn't that good, but I like it better than the iPod. And I am a pretty staunch Mac fan. But I own a Sansa. FM Radio, better battery, SD expansion, voice recorder. I was sold at the expansion card. Is the interface difficult? A little bit, yeah. But I'd rather have all the other features. Listen, if you want bland, check out the interface of the iPod. Pretty darn bland, if you ask me.
The problem isn't copyright infringement or patent issues. It's just tacky. It looks like the iMac. The problem isn't that white and all-in-one are patented, cause like you said, that's ridiculous. The problem is that they could do something new to the design. Add a distinctive feature. Do to the all in one what dell did to laptops. Add features and little things like lighted fans etc. to make your mark on it. Point is, design something different, not something that has been done before.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
