Since when has America been the only market?

In the rest of the world the cell companies could not care less what you attach to the network, as long as they get some cash out of it.

Anyway, if its branded Google it will succeed. Google is many places above Apple in the worlds top brands list, its name alone will sell it.
I look forward to the wood+springs NHS version
I'm not a great fan of apple, they are overpriced and in the V1 models just look nice but don't work well, but I have to say I am waiting to see what they do in the tablet/ebook field. The other companies in the market have so far produced some right old rubbish.

With the right apple ebook reader, I might even have to turn to the dark side myself! (Assuming its not locked down to a single format of course)
I don't really see the point.

The 105 is great, trace a route, follow as course, but this is just flashy rubbish.
All very nice anecdotes, but lets get back to the science. Mandatory helmet laws that vastly increased helmet use overnight, had NO EFFECT on head injury rates.

That right, they are totally useless.

Why, because bike helmets are an unproved technology. They work well for children and young kids where they are more likely to fall sideways, for everyone else the dynamics of a crash are complex. They may work well in some crashes, and actually cause damage in others.

If you want to wear one, please do, but don't think its a magic bean to save you from all damage. Better to learn to cycle better and learn to cycle defensively in traffic.
Garmin needs some serious competition, they are just pushing out overpriced rubbish these days.

Its time they dumped their tacky vector maps, it made sense when memory was expensive , but not any more. Give a a good ruggid unit with normal maps, eg OS for the UK, and they will be onto a winner, but these units are just gimmicks.
Do CF's ever fail? I still have the original bulky ones I bought about 8 years ago, all working fine.
Yet another failed design. For those that don't know the owner just wants to get a design passed, then sell the whole site to a developer for a huge bag of cash.

There has already been multiple failed plans, and this is another one.
I've given apple some stick about the last iphone, it was always going to be a total failure in the uk.

This looks better though, and depending on the contract its sold with, should sell quite well.
This is going to make for some great crash reports. Crash happened at junction, car ended up 3 fields away.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
