There must be some secret contest amongst mobile phone accessory manufacturers to see which one can make products that will make people look like the biggest douchebag. It started with belt clips, then the hands-free sets. I thought maybe the bluetooth earpieces might be where people finally start drawing the line on how ridiculous they want to look, but no, we have a new winner now.
I get to pay $400 to buy a box that *only* plays downloaded movies that cost the same as renting/buying a DVD, while delivering *almost* the same quality? Oh, and I get to pay in advance and can't view them anywhere else?

They could give the box away for free and this service STILL wouldn't be worth it.

Gosh, sign me up now.
Ignoring the funny math for a moment, last I checked, spiders weren't insects.
I drive from LA to SF and back 4 or 5 times a year, and the 250 miles between the Grapevine and the 580 split are tortuous.

There is absolutely no reason that I should have to pass 10-15 cars at a time from the RIGHT lane at 100mph because the mini-van drivers (oh yes, they are the worst) are stuck in the left lane.

A very special place in hell is reserved for the folks that cruise in the left lane, then have the nerve to speed up when you're forced to pass on the right.

Like so many things automotive, Germany got the lane rules right too.
This just looks like a rather complicated way of saying you'll get diminishing returns for money spent on improving your 0-60 times.

Big surprise.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
