Analyst says Motorola "would be lucky" to get $500 million {Engadget}
Jul 11th 2008 1:39AM If I knew Google, I'd be whispering buyitbuyitbuyit in to their ear.
Google could start building gPhones with Motorola's knowhow.
However, they need to dump the current line of phones and fire whoever is responsible for design.
Is the Volt nothing more than bailout bait? {Autoblog Green}
Jul 2nd 2008 7:38PM I must admit, an EV version of the Volt would seem a good idea. They wouldn't have to work the design too much to get there, just lose the engine and give it more batteries.
Bob Lutz: EV1 never coming back {Autoblog Green}
Jul 2nd 2008 3:54PM Well, if they wanted to, they could make and updated version of the EV-1, keep lots of the styling and technology and use updated battery tech.
They very well have to do it to keep with the game if they want to compete with Nissan and Tesla and VW and the others working on electric cars.
They might have blown a billion on that one, but they've got the tech now so it's not like they would be starting from scratch.
See this is a good example of why GM is going down the toilet.
Chevy Matiz 0.8S features reduced emissions {Autoblog Green}
Apr 9th 2008 11:49AM Ever since I rented a Matiz in Greece on holiday, I've had a soft spot in my heart for it. I really hope GM comes out with an improved version of it. If they could make it better for long distance driving on freeways, a bit safer and maybe reduce fuel consumption even more, I'd be rather satisfied with it.
Also, how about a version with the cute anime style face of the Chery QQ copy of it? They could get back at them with a copy of a copy :)
Official: ASUS 8.9-inch Eee PC will include touchscreen, possibly GPS {Engadget}
Mar 26th 2008 4:46AM Well, I'm still waiting for my 1st gen model. I ordered end of last year. Finally received it March and had to send it back because it was defective and now I have no idea when I'll be getting it. This is in Germany BTW. And they're still not available in Nordic countries. So I guess I can look forward to this sometime next year :(

Mar 20th 2008 5:29AM I love it. FINALLY car companies have the guts to make something that looks different! I'd have one any day.

Kwikset's SmartKey gives lock bumpers a whole new challenge {Engadget}
Mar 11th 2008 3:34PM Ok, sorry vOv, Abloy used to make an older style security lock (no longer for sale) that takes over 30 minutes to pick if it's sitting on the table in front of you. So you know, that makes it pretty useless.
Kwikset's SmartKey gives lock bumpers a whole new challenge {Engadget}
Mar 11th 2008 1:55PM Abloy has been making 100% unpickable locks for years (http://www.abloy.com/) and I really don't understand why people haven't switched to them in most of the world.
