sorry... but any data stored in a proprietary manner is never a good idea. god help you if your drobo fails.
@Phoenix: "except the iPhone doesn't because it can only run one app at a time."

except... it does everything he just said at the same time. phone. surf. gps. not an issue. i can talk, while nav is running, and im checking mail or surfing. i guess youve been sipping the iphone hateraide though, and didnt decide to fact check. its ok.
just an update..... 12 hours... ive emailed themacsale and gotten no response... still no serials.

if i dont see them in the morning... im contacting paypal for a refund and file whatever i need to against it. its ridiculous in this day and age that it would take more than an hour to automate a serial number email.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!
i dont exactly want to start getting worried... but i purchased this bundle earlier this morning... so far, ive only seen serials for opacity express and picturesque. kind of wish i didnt buy it now.
and the cost of opening locations earlier, salaries for the employees that opened earlier, etc.... ?

spin it any way you want, and feel free to vote me down, but my guess is that verizon was hoping to sell AT LEAST a few hundred thousand more.

i wouldnt necessarily call it a failure, but it definitely wasnt a success. they are still in the hole a ton of money from just the advertising and prep for its launch.
can i call it, or what?

@Cornelius:
thanks. i thought that might have been what this was about, but thought as well that we had been through this already... and it was nothing more than rumor and speculation. intel had the superior product and implemented aggressive quotas. manufacturers signed up. amd was late to the game, and lost because of it. the only shady area was whether or not intel had actually twisted arms after the fact... but as i said... thought we had been through that before and there just wasnt any evidence to prove it. again, i could be wrong.

@ermski2k:
ummm... no. not really. i paid more for a better product with better specs than the competition.
ditto. ive looked around for info on just what the claims are... and cant find squat. im not sure exactly what the issue is here... but unless its something other than cpu's, i dont see how intel has played unfairly. they simply have a better processor.
they need to open early to field all 3 walk-in customers?

look... all fanboyism aside, it just isnt going to do as well as they are hoping. sure, it will sell.... and it will probably sell pretty damn good on its own merits... but nowhere near to a point that they will need to extend store hours, or create lines for people wanting to get one. it just isnt going to happen. if they move over 250k units the first week i will be shocked.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
