Class action...does this mean when my HD-DVD player breaks and I
can't replace it, my movie collection is worthless because of the
DRM?

It's time for a consumer's DRM bill of rights. Or for DRM to go the way of the dodo.
Can they install this in my Airbus A380?
Does it have lockers and a sway bar disconnect?
I like the part limiting what can be listed as additional "fees and taxes" on statements. If a carrier advertises a plan for $39.99 / month, it ought to cost $39.99 / month excluding any taxes that vary by the region the phone is sold in. Basically state, county, and local sales taxes are the only fess that should be allowed on top of the advertised price.

If the advertised price isn't the actual price, how are consumers supposed to comparison shop? Without the easy ability to comparison shop for consumers, the wireless service providers are not operating in a competitive environment.
I've never wanted to use a commercial song as a ring tone...I've always made my own ring tones from recordings I've made (not music) because loading the latest crud from whoever is not making your phone your own. It's following the freaking herd and doesn't take any creativity. Apple, come up with a way for me to put my own clever and creative ring tones on the phone!
I would have bought one but they won't do one year contracts. Why would I sign a two-year contract for a phone and service that will be old school tech in six months?
If your mobile devices had the receiver built in and you had one of these mats embedded under a section of kitchen counter (or the whole counter for that matter), this thing would be great! Throw your keys, mobile, gps, and music player on the counter. No wires, no mess. Come back the next morning and they're all charged up and ready to go. Will it operate through 2" of granite or concrete or wood?
My rental car is an automatic HHR It's probably a 2007 though. I'll have to look tomorrow. I just ordered a wranger with an automatic. If i was just driving around town, I would have opted for the manual, but I am buying this vehicle specifically to drive on difficult 4WD trails so automatic it is. In Europe, the manual rental cars are always fun to drive--not to mention impressing my European coworkers by being an American who knows how to drive a stick!
If the $1650 version is just as durable as the $2500 version, I could spring for one. I don't think I'd even use a backpack or case with one of these. I'd probably just throw it in the back floor board of the pickup as is and call it good.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
