I've been itching for a netbook, but havent been able to rationalize the purchase yet. I have a Dell M1330, which is a pretty sexy notebook by itself. Barely weighs 4lbs, 1.3mp webcam, slot loaded dvd burner, wirelessN, 160gb 7200rpm sata, and ive tossed in a ATT 3G internal broadband card...With the 13.3 widescreen, its not alot bigger than the 12in dell min, but packs a much bigger punch...4h+ on the battery to boot.

Wake me up when something other than the mini9 has a free mini pcie slot for my broadband, a dual core atom, and can give me 4-5hrs without a humpback battery addon. Not frying my hands on the palmrest would be nice also...Sincerely, Happy M1330 owner.
Same here on WRT54G but I'm using tomato firmware. I have been itching to switch to a wireless-N with gige, but its hard to figure out what's gonna be reliable. The good ol 54G
I want one bad, but it's hard to justify the Mini over a bargain prices EEE 1000H or an Aspire One. I REALLY want the dell because of the extra 3G wwan card i have laying around, but the price is just kinda silly compared to the competition.
3G laptops, like my M1330 and the mini, have a sim card slot in the battery compartment. The 3G card goes into an empty mini pcie slot just like the wifi cards. ACTUALLY, its a frequented fact that most of the large usb broadband cards, just have a mini pci card inside on a daughter board. So alot of people dissect usb broadband cards to get the mini pci/pcie cards. 3G broadband requires pcie.
I'm sitting this round out, when I can get the loaded version for $100 less, then we can talk. I really hate I passed up on the $360 Lenovo S10s now though.
Preliminary Ship date is out to 10/9 now lol. I was really pulling for Dell on this one, but epic FAIL! I have been wanting to downsize too a netbook, but none of the pricing options hit a sweet spot. I would go for an Aspire, but I need a working mini pcie slot for my WWAN card. I will just be sticking with my M1330 as my main mobile device for a bit longer. I am also considering just going back and picking up a nokia n800 as a mobile companion...least I can pair it with a bluetooth phone for a smalll package.

Hey Acer,
why dont you go ahead and put a bracker on that obvious pcie slot!! thanks
Best Regards Z

Hey Dell,
LEAVE THAT POOCH'S A$$ ALONE!!!
Sincerely Z
Confirmed, the evalue code works. I would be hesitatnt to order before an official release though. Would suck getting stuck with a incorrect price, or missing a coupon.

"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
