Assuming 14 cents(US) per kWH (which is a ballpark figure) these puppies will generate $34.5 million in revenue in one year. Let's say initial cost is completely covered in 4 years (which is feasible) after that you have that $34.5 million straight into the bank after maintenance fees. That is the closest thing to a free lunch that I could possibly imagine (at least until technology improves... or the sun dies). This is about as good of a deal for them as Santa Claus signing them a big fat check every year.
Canon should have added in-house wireless strobe support and some kind of thumb wheel or joystick for more manual control.
It's funny there is an article about this, the younger brother of a very good friend of mine is about to be one of the first human test subjects in this treatment for his Neuroblastoma. The procedure will take place in late February early March.
i want it to buy my groceries for me and make me sandwiches
1. Please tell us if it slows down performance of g4 powerpc machines.
2. Can I use my fancy new 160GB iPod as a TimeMachine backup disk? (cause honestly thats why i bought it)
this is the day i finally upgrade from my old 20gb 3G!!!! Im so excited i could wet myself several times over
Yeah, in agreement. This happened with my MBP power adapter three days ago. Its basically all the times i've wrapped the power cord around that brick, i've been twisting up the wires on the inside of the cable to the point that some of them frayed. This results in the extreme heating of the metal and rubber (less connection = more resistance = more heat = sparks and melting). Long story short walked into the apple store they handed me a new one and i walked out.
With the cash wasted on 47 machines (at probably about 1500 a piece) and the $13/month on those 47 machines (intial cost ~$70,500, and monthly cost $611). This guy could have outright bought a badass car, paid for some STRONG weight loss pills and had a gym membership and a personal trainer, and covered full collision insurance on said car. Having said that, he would probably be in a situation where he could have a hot girlfriend and respect from friends and neighbors.

Instead he's probably living in Grandmom's basement with a large supply of red vines, mountain dew or bawls, cheetos, and a astronaut style piss bag. Nuff said.
And how does one make money from simply having a large processor farm? If it takes the smallest amount of time then this guy probably isn't doing it.
Hey just to give you guys the heads up. From a business standpoint Sony has to be floundering here. First they are already taking a huge monetary hit per system sold. Second they discontinue a PS3 model within the first 6 months of the system lifetime. And now they drop the price even more. Newsflash, this is an act of desperation! This system was released about 3 years before it should have and Sony is paying for it
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
