Jul 7th 2008 9:07AM Geez dude, you make it sound like a bad thing. I've been trying to think of a good excuse as to why I can't go visit the mother-in-law for years now.

Apr 23rd 2008 11:46PM I for one actually respect the former CEO. Sure, he did some messed up stuff. However, he actually admitted to doing so and agreed to accept the consequences of his actions. Comparing this to the typical western reaction to getting called out (denying everything and hopping on a plane to some other country) I find his actions quite respectable.

Congratulations Lee Kun-hee, you are one of the seven people with dignity left in the world.

How would you change Asus' Eee PC? {Engadget}

Nov 9th 2007 10:23PM Aside from the full size screen, have the ssd on the inside actually be an sd card hooked into an internal slot (i.e. nokia n800). That way as it reaches the end of its finite read/write cycles you can tear the thing out and put a new one in. Plus it would be awesome because of how easy it would be to upgrade. To boot the SDHC standard technically caps out at 32GB per card. If they did that on the new revision I would probably cream my pants a couple of times and then go buy one.

Nokia N800 Internet Tablet unboxed {Engadget}

Jan 8th 2007 6:34PM I know this is quite a late comment in terms of this post however, I just had an epiphany and I do agree about this product not being very useful without sdhc support. Here is the thing, currently the latest experimental Linux kernel (2.6.19) doesn't even support sdhc cards. However, from judging by this post...
http://lists.openwall.net/linux-kernel/2007/01/01/62

i'm thinking support may be reality some time soon. So, depending on if the hardware is built up to sdhc spec if and when the kernel update does become available there should be support or not definitively.

This may be old hat to a lot of people but I'm going to say it anyhow. Up till now sd card compatibility with Linux has only been achieved because sd card was backwards compatible with the mmc. So it is possible to use sd cards with Linux but you don't get any of the benefits of the sd interface. The reason there is up until now no native support is because the sd format is not open or free for that matter. However, hopefully things will progress for reasons listed in the link above, and in a few months I can sport a n800 with 16gb of flash goodness.

A few more spy shots of Nokia's 870 Internet Tablet {Engadget}

Nov 28th 2006 3:30PM If they managed to put in a faster processor in this thing than the 770 they may just have winner on their hands... I personally cant wait to read a review on this thing.
