If these are anything like the ones we put in our cars, that statement is false. There are rollover sensors that trigger the belt pre-tensioner (to keep the occupant in the seat) and airbag. These are not triggered by sudden accelerations, but by the orientation of the vehicle (these systems are tested all the way down to 0 mph).

Watch a video of a rollover (even just on the side) and you'll see why they need the airbags. It may not be an "impact", but smashing your head into pavement and broken glass is a bit violent, even when the car isn't moving.
True... for front airbags. Side curtain airbags are supposed to go off in a rollover though.
Great. I'll let my car loose on public roads then.
So what if I kill a family? I'll be insured.
Timmy,
What about those of us that used Macs not because they were cool/exclusive, but because they were more effective work machines? I'm not a big fan of the anti-conformist conformist's (the only people worse than fanboys) baseless ranting that's resulted from their new popularity, but I can't complain about all the extra applications and support that's resulted from it. Just remember that not every apple owner is a kool-aid drinking poser, some just want a computer to do their work on.
The only thing attractive to me about the centro was the fact that it wasn't a WinMo phone. This doesn't even have that going for it...
Clockworkzen- all macs have optical outputs, so you can connect them to any receiver/ standalone DAC with digital optical inputs and surround decoding
How long before the obligatory "iMac ripoff" comment?
Finally. This is exactly what Dell needs to produce to get back in the game. Attractive, affordable, and unique- that's what sells computers in the mainstream these days.
Great, another update, yet it's still the same PocketPC OS I used 7 years ago albeit with a theme job. To say WM is long in the tooth would be an understatement. Come on MS, time for a little innovation!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
