HAHAHA! THAT'S SO FUNNY CAUSE ITS SO TRUE OMG
lol @ sony bologna
exactly! I can't wrap my head around the reason(s) why it isn't already so easy to work around these restrictions..
I'm on the waiting list for a smart car, but you made me wonder; if I ever did have to park sideways like you mentioned, would there be enough space for me to open the door(s) to get out? It's not too much wider as it is long, so you've got to wonder..
Ask Engadget is about as useful as an automated response from an email you sent to your least favorite company's customer service dept.

Thanks for taking the time to ask us, take it away, commenters!

Whatever.
If its anything like the Nabaztag-tag (WiFi Rabbit FTL), then it sounds neat at first, but in actuality you have to press a button and hold it down for three seconds until it beeps, then place the RFID tag on the pancake (in front of the rabbits nose) and then it'll come to life.

I hate this company!
I've been waiting and waiting. Had mine for 2 years this christmas. Can't stand the damn thing taking up space.

Then again, it is cute.

Its cuter unplugged, though.

It really sucks.

Thanks for reminding me, I'd been meaning to write a negative review on amazon about it!
Wouldn't these guys make more money if they just made a Garmin iPhone app?

No, I'm not trolling.. Just dying for a proper turn by turn app, and I haven't been excited about the Nuviphone since the iPhone came out. This is like, so totally Q1 2007!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
