More than anything, this is hilarious. The real question is, Did they have enough money to buy the Bluray Player? Or was that an earlier heist we missed hearing about? Even if they got it for free, they are still choosing Bluray.
And its giving some attention the the format either way! To think had they just bought the LG combo player they could have had 5 movies for free without the need of a heist.
I must agree, it doesn't matter what company you are, when it comes to power bricks, they are all ugly, not even an ipod white can make them beautiful.

Think different. Here's an idea for Apple, patent a gadget that can send electricity over the air so you can enjoy true wireless everything and not have to be close to an outlet for internet or juice to keep you going.
Finally a semi unveiling and use of the new mascot
FTW! lets see him getting some more coverage. Or at least acting as the Robin Leach, of the gadget world.

Now all that's left to ask, is where is the mascot merchandise mateys?
Having more options is always a good thing (for the consumer) in my opinion.

That has a nice small form factor but gives you the flexibility to expand or customize your rig.
Again the trend starting to appear in laptops as well is also another welcome achievement.

Hopefully the designs start getting sexier and adding more colors or texture finishes to things things to really make them sleek.
First of all Props to SJ for being generous to his employees.

This is what I find funny though. Not that lots of them might end up for sale, or that AT&T just got a boat load of subscribers, or even the fact that giving that many away may make "joe consumer" hunt to find one with a spiked demand, or even the 2 year contract buy-in.
I think it's hilarious that a year or so from now, how much money they'll make selling those extra batteries after the 300-400 charges.
Do employees (meaning corporate) even know how to change the batteries? I see a DIY project in the works... if people aren't too scared to open up their iphone.
I'm not a big fan of fees, taxes and other stuff, but aside from all this iphone mania, my lingering question is:

Where the hell is the engadget mascot and why has he not made an appearance? Too much iHype, not enough shameless plugging of yourself Engadget, where are the t-shirts and desktop wallpapers eh?

just curious :)
Its obviously at an angle because it's going so fast...

and with all that power, i really hope they aren't using integrated graphics... if they are, OH THE HUMANITY!

hopefully the beast has about 12 Quadro cards, bwahaha!
I think the new DS should ditch the GBA slot, even though I love GBA games, I think if they opted to do Virtual Console (handheld version) where you could download all games from original gameboy to GBA it would be awesome, it'd still be a nice integration to the Wii and free up more space to make the model a bit slimmer with more screen space or a longer battery.
Just my 2 cents
Seeing design starting to get into more places is good. Maybe not the ideal lighting system for most offices but....

IF they made 'Blacklight' versions of those bulbs that'd be one hell of a sweet sight at a modern club with some house music going.

The only other thing I can think up for those is using them vertically just a single to mark exits with an "x" instead of the cheestacular exit signs.

I'm guessing it's an MP3 player for Anatomy teachers and professors so they can get away with having tunes between classes, and they can hide it cleverly between the shoulder bones on the skeleton near the front of the room.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
