@Eternity you miss the point of the target market for this phone - read my comment below.
I guess you've never played with the Samsung i8910 (S60v5 with capacitive touch) - it's way more usable than the N97.
To all the Nokia/Symbian moaners/groaners out there...

I've played with the X6 and it's one of the nicest Symbian phones from Nokia ever (and I've reviewed most recent Nseries, Eseries and Xpressmusic devices):
- It's not meant to be a high-end phone like the N97 or N900, but a mid-end device like the 5800
- It's small (optimized for one-hand use) and it's a lot thinner in person
- It's the same screen size as the 5800 and N97 mini, but it's capacitive touch (first one from Nokia)
- It's the same camera as the N97, N97 mini and N900 (ie. best in class)
- Don't be fooled by the price; you can be sure it's going to reach $350 within weeks
- There's 32 GB built-in but no micro-SD card slot and there's no physical keyboard
- There's a bunch of UI and performance improvements over N97 firmware v2.0

Here's my hands on: http://tnkgrl.wordpress.com/2009/09/15/nokia-x6-and-nokia-n97-mini-hands-on/
@Chris yeah it appears to be quite pronounced on the HD2, but try this with various cameraphones you have lying around and you'll probably notice varying degrees of this.

And it's definitely less noticeable when taking "normal" pictures :)
@Chris this is pretty common on cameraphones, although typically not as pronounced...

The Sidekick LX 2009 is the worst offender of all the devices I've reviewed so far!
@phreck I totally agree with Chris' take on the resistive touchscreen. To me it's one of the biggest letdowns when I'm using the N900. A flagship device needs a capacitive touchscreen, and so far Nokia's been screwing this one up (N97 and now N900). At least the upcoming Nokia X6 is a step in the right direction, but it's just an Xpressmusic device. I've got a Pre, an iPhone 3GS, a Hero and a Droid for comparison, and I used the Samsung i8910 Symbian phone for 3 months. All are capacitive, and make the resistive N900 frustrating to go back to.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
