A Clockwork Orange

At least not a true remake. Way to controversial for our current nanny state.
You know. I'm a Democrat, but I hope when Paul and Brian's parents die someone at Gizmodo puts them up on the blog basically making fun of the tragic way in which their lives ended.

I just clicked the unsubscribe button in Reader. Later Engadget. Its been fun.
Dan Brown uses the most ancient of writing techniques:

Mad-Libs!

Every book is the same. Just insert a different girl, a different secret society, and a different ridiculous conspiracy theory. Seriously, they even all start the same. Some old guy gets killed by a creepy guy. Someone should put out the unofficial Dan Brown Mad-Lib.

I'd have Colonel Sanders getting murdered by an Area 51 agent over a plot to steal the Colonel's true secret: A tiny drop of blood from one of Eve's descendants made his chicken highly addictive. And now his daughter, a true descendant of Eve is being stalked by the same murdered. Can Langdon save this girl by deciphering the cryptic symbols that descendant's of Eve use to protect the most shocking secret of all: that it was she who was made first and Adam who first ate the apple!!!! Oh lord, with the Earth ever be the same!

Dan Brown would never even recognize that according to that story we are all Eve's descendants.

I just wonder if there can be a Pierre Plantard out there to make him look as stupid for Angels and Demons as he did with the DaVinci Code.

But seriously, Brown is a hack. But A&D will make a much better movie that DaVinci Code. Its much darker and fast paced.
Unless they shrank the keyboard that ain't no 13" MacBook.
ok, Google Reader user here. Why should I switch to a native app over Reader?
Sylar sucks.

His act is old. The writing since the first set of season 1 episodes has gotten worse and worse.

But seriously, Sylar needs to die
I cant believe its come to this, but I'm ready for Sylar to die. His Shtick is old. If they think it would be at all interesting to hear ticking while watching him play psycho for another whole season, then Tim Kring is freaking lost.

My Wish List to Die:
1. Sylar
2. Parkman
3. St. Joan
4. Micah (Niki would so much cooler if Micah wasnt there)
5. Maya

... and I don't mean Tim Kring dead either. I don't ever want to see those characters again.

They need to do something with the Haitian next season.

But please, whatever you do, kill Sylar. You've beat that horse into the ground.
Sweet ad.

People: Ads are the future on the internet. I'd rather the net become more neutral and ad-crazy than see the telecoms ward off private sections for high prices. Would people prefer it if Engadget went subscription? You know, like those things we used to call magazines and newspapers?

You boys at Engadget are ok by me. Make your money and make Engadget better, and I'll keep on subscribing through Google Reader. You know, the place where I first learned about this ad through this entry.

All you complainers... seriously. Its called a rss reader.
I enjoyed season 1 for the most part, so it hurts me to say the following:

This season sucks.

Its a prime example of what happens when writers and networks get scared to ruin a hit. They ruin it be being too scared to be creative. Half of these characters are supposed to be dead. By bringing them back after they were supposed to be dead they show the audience they don't have the nerve to kill any of these characters off. What's the point of watching anymore.

Fittingly enough, its Star Trek. Wanna know who dies? Find the new guy.

Hey, writers. Write something new. Instead of holding onto the leftovers of season 1 and dragging on the aftermath for weeks, why don't you try to write a new storyline.

What's the point? Another good show ruined by the networks.
Just another reminder of what the future holds. Artists are going to learn they don't need to labels or Apple. They can release this stuff on their own once they get established. Television studios wont need networks. The sooner the better. The more middle men involved, the more bloat in the price. Artists can decide for themselves what form of DRM they require.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"My father-in-law is heading back to school in the spring and wants a laptop for Christmas. The only catch is their budget is around $400 and he does not want a netbook. He's not very "tech savvy" at all and doesn't need a hoss of a machine (not that $400 could get you one). We would like to get it for him as soon as possible and would love some input."
