Of course, maybe he meant this as a slight towards Lady Gaga... if so I don't know if that's fair or appropriate, but whatever. It's a blog.
I agree. I'm surprised that Dave Caolo would say this, as if you listen to the lyrics on almost all of her songs, they are not written for kids by any means. I can see why kids like the song, but many people like it, and the meaning behind the song, if you understand it, is certainly of a more mature subject matter then what written for 6 year olds..
"Poker Face" and Lady Gaga being kid's music? Ouch. Cold.
good luck everyone!
This certainly speaks to the fact that Camera Phones are becoming more widely available and used. The vast majority of these pictures are most likely snapshots or casual pictures, and nothing professional. I wouldn't say that the iPhone should be considered a "serious photographic tool," but rather a great convenient tool for taking decent looking snapshots.
Seriously?

Faster Hardware > Slower Hardware

Macs are essentially identical to PCs in the hardware they use, sans a few small exceptions such as EFI.

A Mac with faster hardware will outperform a PC with slower hardware, and a PC with faster hardware will outperform a Mac with slower hardware.

Palm was ahead of their time... and sure it may have been only a year or so ahead, but that can make a difference in the tech world. If the Foleo was slightly retooled to be more capable as a stand-alone computer (like a netbook) and still have the integration with Palm phones, it'd be a great device.
No.

Unless it's a really, really, good game. For $200 it better be worth the price. Doubt it though.
I think there are a number of people that may be the same as you. I think a more realistic situation is that first-time *computer* buyers will not buy a netbook. I could see people who put a lot of money in a desktop buy a netbook just for the portability, but don't need lots of portable on the go.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
