I emailed them to see if they'd ship to the UK. They couldn't be bothered to reply so I'm not going to bother to buy one!
Yeah, getting it closer seems a little silly, in theory i guess perhaps you could perhaps run it quieter if it's closer to the drum to start with. It is however, the quality of the driver that makes the real difference, hence the price differential between the Shures, Etymotics of the world and the standard high street type phones. I'll stick with some Shures.
The R8 has been out for some time now guys but hell yeah, those LEDs just top off what is already a phenomenal package. If only I had £76,000, maybe I'll be able to afford a second hand one in like 20 years!
yeah i've wanted to change my darn password for ages, i've often not posted as I didn't have it and didn't have time to search though old emails to find it.
Wow, I'm surprised that you used up one of your 5 family pack licenses on such an old Mac. You did get a family pack Giz now didn't you? Using the same disk you already upgraded another Mac with would be naughty, I'm sure you wouldn't have done that!
Actually, I am at least. Was wondering if it would be released in a full-sized box or a smaller one, purely as I won't be in and it's a pain in the arse for me to get to a depo to collect it as I don't have a car. My new style iMac keyboard came through my postbox and I was hoping this would be able to as well.
It's not the worst idea ever, possibly easier than lugging my laptop over and plugging it in to my TV and better quality than streaming from my laptop to my xbox. If it's not massively more and I was in the market for a USB key, it would make sense but really, I'd like a cheap dock like this that can do this with any usb key or small external hard drive so can just plug and play into the TV and friends can show pictures or movies they may bring round straight up by plugging in, a cheap box that could do that would be nice and maybe even record to USB stick from an input too.
Why didn't you wait? I mean seriously, it's not like an October release of Leopard was a big suprise to anyone. Patience is a virtue, one you'll have to pay $130 for not having or torrent it dirtying your nice new machine with naughty pirate badness.
That question has been answered at least twice already in the thread above, try reading through before asking questions but no, your partition will be safe, you just won't be able to make changes to it's set-up after Jan without Leopard or until someone hacks bootcamps time limit.
Interstingly, the UK version is overpriced compared to the american version as it's £85 but with educational discount, it goes down substantially to £58.50 when you order from the UK HE store which puts it pretty close to the converion of the USA edu price into £'s, it might even work out a bit cheaper which makes a nice change since we always end up paying a premium for living on this little ole island of ours.

The UK Edu discounts are still pretty reasonable so maybe people in the UK haven't been abusing it as badly so they haven't felt the need to cut back on it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
