Easy labels? Yes, please?!?!
I agree with some of you here. Let a TV be a TV and spend the R&D budget on better image processing (black levels on LCD's are still not up to par). If I want computer-like features, I'll use a real computer with OS X, Vista, XBMC... whatever. Also, $80 for a wi-fi usb dongle? I'll just buy a 2nd router and hook up my net capable Blu-ray player and receiver, too. (Oh yeah, and the media center I bought with the money I saved from buying a "plain" good flat screen HD set.)
More clowns in more places... AT&T.
I've had my Instinct for 2.5 weeks now, and almost returned it a few times because the OS seems to hiccup here and there. Also, I have had issues on a few occasions with GMail not updating (had to refresh). There were several app and software updates that loaded shortly after I bought it, and I've had no data or weather issues to speak of (knock on wood). The Instinct is nice for me, but I upgraded from a 1st-gen Sanyo Katana, so even a Blackberry (Curve or Pearl 2) would have been a big upgrade.

I know the Instinct is NO iPhone, nor did I expect as much... nor should anyone. Remember, the iPhone's OS stemmed out as a mobile version (more or less) of OS X. The Instinct is brand new, with a very new OS. As I recall, it took some time for Apple to iron out some of the kinks in the 1st-gen iPhone. Nice as it is, you don't get much service until you start spending some serious $$$ with AT&T, unless of course you jailbreak (or wait to jailbreak the 3G version).

As for the Instinct... yes, it was rushed to market to keep Sprint from losing market share to the iPhone.

Bottom line, if you have or are considering buying the Instinct, it's brand new, so don't expect miracles right away. Over time, hopefully, there will be more apps out and some good software updates for the Instinct. It has potential, just give it time.

@ Luddy, I believe you do have to pay extra for modem tethering. NOt sure if there's a plan, or if it's per kilo/megabyte though.
I got a Sony PSP Slim, Star Wars Battlefront Edition, plus 2 games for it - I love my girlfriend.
Aienware Area-51 m9750 with SSD drive.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
