Apr 28th 2009 11:38PM Agreed.... speakers obviously have the largest effect on the sound, so the upstream equipment should be chosen to match them..... have speakers with a harsh top end.... don't use an amp with a harsh top end, or you will never listen to the system.... for example...

Apr 3rd 2009 1:33AM SIZE is not what matters...... many high end speaker makers, like Quad, Martin Logan and Sound Labs (FTW!) make full range speakers out of 1 large panel (the Sound Lab A1's, for example, are 8ft tall, about 4 ft wide), and they play plenty high in frequency.
