and why not let us North American PSP folks have a DTV tuner for a change. I'm sure there'd be an FCC tussle or two in terms of doing that, but just take the plunge won't you please.
No kidding, this is nothing more than Google's version of a pro wrestler cutting a promo on Microsoft and Palm. I hate to say this, folks, but Windows Mobile 6 is gonna' win this fight.
...or Garmin's Legend CX. But with Navteq probably tying the knot with Nokia, the software/firmware for these things probably wont be appearing on anyone else's GPS units anytime soon. Not sure who else makes the stuff but Navteq is the best.
Is this the new HTC phone that Sprint is said to be offering very soon?
I can see where this would come in handy, you can get satellite radio into this thing via your sat radio's FM transmitter. Imagine being able to listen to Howard Stern while you're on the job site. Coooooool!
...and until this comes out, we can at least listen to a handful of Sirius channels (Howard Stern not included, with somewhat crappy audio) on our Sprint mobile phones.
Y'all are forgetting that the keyboard and cellphone attachments are concepts and probably wont be produced in the first place. Voice-activated text entry will probably be incorporated into the VOIP circuitry on the new PSP. It's also possible that this new PSP will see the coming of the PDA-like functions in the new firmware version 3.
CellBoost (the mobile phone battery people) make an 'extended-life' battery for the PSP. I believe it's available at RadioShack and Sam Goody now.
I'm sure a lot of folks will opt for the Bluetooth keyboard option. Having a virtual keyboard on-screen will yuck up the screen over time. I have to admit though that I didn't know there was such a thing as a Bluetooth keyboard. I've seen a lot of RF-based wireless keyboards used on desktop PCs though.
I give kudos to the Sprint music store for allowing users to download a copy of their favorite music tracks to their phones and to their PCs. It costs a little more that way but it's a step in the right direction. Now I'd like to see MovieLink and its ilk do that with movies.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
