Ask Engadget: Subnote or full-sized laptop for university use? {Engadget}

May 15th 2008 6:48PM Really?! You guarantee that a Dell will break down? Are you going to stalk this dude with a hammer in your back pocket? Every manufacturer had lappys that fail (EVERY). Just 'cause your Dell failed doesn't mean someone else's will or because your Asus worked theirs won't fail.

Sheesh.

Ask Engadget: Subnote or full-sized laptop for university use? {Engadget}

May 15th 2008 6:45PM I think the keyboard is very important to consider. If your hands are too big for a sub-keyboard, then you won't want to use it in class or to type your papers. The number one scholastic use will be typing. My gorilla paws won't deal with a tiny-tim lappy.

Are you going to be able to plug it in while in class? If not, make sure you have a good battery life.

I am sporting a 15" Dell for my Masters and it had served me well - some games, good keyboard, good screen, and it's small enough to pack wherever I go.

I went to Cascade College (which is the Portland, OR branch campus of OCU). So far they haven't gotten any of these laptop deals thrown their way.

Harding will probably offer a gift card to Wal-Mart so the students can have a fun time in Searcy.

Dec 29th 2007 7:44PM I want to get away from Portland, OR and go to Orlando, FL. It sure would be awesome to not have to pay for the tickets or listen to crying babies on the flight.
