If anything, they're charging you to make book keeping more convenient for them, not because of some magic rule. That said, its $1.99 - too bad they feel the need to charge you for your already bought hardware, but I won't lose sleep over it.

Umm guys? I read the title as a joke- as in we Americans obviously know you have more than 3 channels. Just a little wink and jab, not "American ignorance." Whats with all the flaming - and that goes for the Americans too - firing back with stupid crap about WWII and joining France? Come on guys, it was a joke!!
