Steve Jobs back to work at Apple {Engadget}

Jun 29th 2009 2:57PM Official statement from Methodist University Hospital (as opposed to some random poster's opinion in the comments section of a gadgets blog):

Next iPhone to launch July 17 with OLED display and glowing Apple logo? {Engadget}

May 19th 2009 3:26PM @Michael & @Look_Around_You: Except for the iPod mini, which was then followed by the iPod nano and (after the 2G, my favorite nano) then the "fat" nano. Those were different enough, shape-wise.

So yes, basically, I'd expect the "iPhone" to follow the same path as the iPod classic: "upgrades". That doesn't prevent Apple from launching additional variants as they did with the iPod: iPhone mini, iPhone nano.

Sure, you can't make it *too* small, but the touchscreen would still be very usable even if it was a cm or two smaller, and that would change the overall size of the device rather dramatically.
