I will cherish every piece in this magnificent array of gadgetry.
yeah you could definitely change the AOA to slow it down for better maneuverability. the way it comes stock it flies pretty naturally, and is still controllable at that speed, so i haven't tried changing it yet but might eventually. i think it has a ton of extra power - when running it, the key is throttle management, and is usually around 50% for cruising, then you kick it up more for climbing. Rarely do you ever need to go full throttle, but it helps you climb over an obstacle quickly in a bind.

OKKKKKAAAYYYYY!
well i hope the price drops enough for you. trust me, especially since you are already in the hobby, you will notice the drastic difference. would like to hear your reaction to it if you eventually get one!

but i'm sure we can both agree that anyone and everyone should get into flying these mini planes! such a blast.
if you read the rcgroups forum, they have compared it to AA's and other similar planes, and the avion is much better. check out the thread - if you like your AA, you will LOVE your avion. this is the first plane that flies better out of the box than the other modified micro fliers.

also, you can and will find the plane for much less than $100. but even at $100, I (and many others) think it's worth it.

and btw, catching and getting out of thermals is one of the most fun things to do with an avion :) the outdoor video shows it has a lot of control outside too.
anyone have any good modding ideas for this plane?
looks like they have a pricing guarantee too - so if the price drops in 30 days you get the refund
nice job finding another retailer, just checked, didn't realize they were selling it - http://www.skymall.com/ anyone know if it's in stock??
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
