You are one of my daily stops that keeps my knowledge of tech stuff tops. enform, engage, engadget
Engadget, you guys spend way too much time reporting "news" about these computing machines and the technology that goes with them. Who wants to lug around a mobile telephone when there are payphones on almost every corner. Spend more time reporting about real gadgets like :calculators, in-door ice crushing machines and the sonic clicker I just got for my television (No more standig up to turn the dial!!). Trust me, these solid-state electronic devices are not real gadgets, they are just distractions for hobbyists and a complete waste of my time. If you don't get back to some real reporting and start printing on paper, I may have to drop my subscription. As we have seen with that game with the paddles and the bouncy ball, the only thing these are good for is creating a pale imitation of the real world around us. Get Back To Basics People!!!!!!!

iPhone-like devices...would those be cellphones, mp3 players and PDAs?
Dude, nothing personal, but you protest way too much. Seem a little insecure there buddy-o. I tried to see your point, but with your EXCELLENT grammar (see I can use caps too) and wonderful fanboy gibberish I am still trying to figure out what you are saying. Truth be told, if you are over 21 I would be embarrassed to admit it, if I were you. You are right, it a year or so the PS3 will be worth it. For now, well, let's face it, it is losing the war to the Wii.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
