XServe Raid no longer available, Apple partners with Promise {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Feb 19th 2008 5:44PM Brian - It's not really that debatable. You may find a handful of references to the old outside method, but in overwhelming majority in America is to place periods on the inside. The same Google search you referenced proves this point (most notably the Blue Book of Grammar). I make my living as a writer and have yet to find anyone placing the period on the outside as a matter of preference.

Feb 19th 2008 3:59PM Zak, while you're at the nitpicking, please move your period INSIDE your quotation marks. That's where it belongs, after all. It's not that hard.

Aug 6th 2007 10:06AM My Monster iCar charger now works, too. Oh happy days. Now I really can leave my iPod at home. (Sorry iPod. But you knew this was going to happen, right?)

iPhone 101: Updating your "Sent from my iPhone" email signature {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jul 20th 2007 1:50PM The default was cool for a couple of days but then I just started to feel like a d-bag. But I do like that people know I'm away from my desk so I changed mine to "sent from my portable telephone machine." Can modesty and iPhone be friends? I believe so.

iPhone camera as microscope {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jul 4th 2007 3:34PM This was a helpful tidbit. Why don't all you haters just take a break from the web for a while til the iPhone awesomeness dies down. It's going to be like this for a while.

Your iPhone haul {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jun 30th 2007 11:49AM Got my 8gb at the Glendale Galleria. I got in line at 10:30am and there were already 120+ people in line. All told, I'd say 250+ were in line. Got mine around 6:45pm. I waited with a buddy who nabbed two 8's and we had a great time. It actually flew by. And as much as we all laugh at the security guards, they did a great job of organizing the chaos. One guy tried to slip in line right before we entered the Apple store and we narced him out. Sorry, but after waiting 8+ hours, he get to steppin'.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the phone and it's better than I expected. Activation was easy (already an ATT customer) and I was up and running in five minutes. Edge is slow, but with everything else the phone does it's small potatoes. Now my wife is dying to have one.

Typinator 2.0 35% off at MacZOT today only {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jun 21st 2007 12:57PM Finally!!! I knew something like this had to exist! I've been dying to have a shortcut for inserting my email address/login as it seems like I type this a hundred times a day. Not a huge deal, but it's one of those things that's been driving me crazy. I bought it thirty seconds after trying it out. At $12.99 it's a steal.

Random acts of Mac kindness {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jun 19th 2007 3:01PM Cody -

Fellow Apple zealot here, but I still call my MacBook Pro a PowerBook. I work day in and day out with Apple fanatics and the whole MacBook, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro thing causes more than a few people to pause and remember which product they're talking about. Don't get me wrong, I think the new naming system is needed by Apple, but it hardly distinguishes products as well as G5, PowerBook, and iBook did.
