I just got 4 iPhones for our company (only 4 employees). Speaking to O2's iPhone team and their stores they currently have good stock in the UK of 8gig and the black and white 16gig models! So they have plenty to sell.
Ah the Daily Mail! the Jack Thompson of the British Newspaper World!
Great write up.

If you want the app that fits inbetween sleeping and waking then have a look at www.dream-recorder.com watching a timelapse vieo of you sleeping is very odd indeed the first time but when you start influencing your dreams with the built in sounds things can get interesting!
I'm being a dick it's the tough ignore me! I got it wrong!
There is a 16 gig Iphone on the uk store along side the 8 gig! £269 and the 8 gig is £199
No mate not at all. I have a MBP and a windows desktop machine.

I have to use windows xp (32bit) in boot camp for playing games on my MBP and also have Windows xp (32bit) running on my desktop. 32bit drivers under xp are much better for gaming than 64bit drivers. As much as I like Linux, as a proper gaming platform it's just not supported enough.
Your right it is now 32 gig!

And yes 3d work can kill the old ram usage as well.

I still feel most people who would want a spec like that would pay a little more for an 8800gt though.
8 gig is a lot TBH. Vista being the only operating system for gaming that could make use of some of it, but then vista will take its nice chunk of that as well!

Don't forget Mac Pros take 16gig of ram

pretty much useless unless you are working with very large photoshop files or editing high def video
Burning them still are we?

MAD should try filling the cameras with expanding insulation foam! that stuff kills them completly!

I hate the damn things here in the UK. Not for the speeding issue but becuase everyone slows down far too much when they are within a few hundred meters of one. People are desperatly staring at their spedo to make sure they don't speed! Take them away and let people concentrate on tuning in the radio when driving.......
I thought when this was first announced it was mainly intended for the computer market to deal with higher resolutions in the future.

Putting this onto a TV is not the way forward due to HDMI. This is really here to replace the lower bandwidth of DVI and VGA on computers. By the time this is the mainstream connection we should have a need for the extra bandwidth this allows.

How long before we see this port on LCD monitors and Graphics cards.......
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for the best geotagging camera currently available. The most important feature for me is the accuracy of the GPS module, so any hard specs on satellite receiver would be really useful. Thanks for your time!"
