Aug 20th 2008 9:14PM One of the best shows ever on television. Mars ran its course in Seasons 1 and 2. Let it go. The show jumped the shark with the college year and honestly a 2 hour mystery isn't 1/10th as long as a Mars mystery should be. A movie would be insultingly simple and bland...just like Season 3.

Aug 20th 2008 9:09PM I'm starting to think there are an awful lot of people who suffer from the misapprehension Lexus is a luxury brand on par with real luxury makes. Lexus is a division of toyota...sort of like Chipotle is a more expensive division of McDonald's.

The GS is a natural competitor to the Toyota GS350. Let's be clear, guys, Lexus is Toyota and any fronting about it being a luxury car is pure poppycock. Hyundai is where toyota was in 1989.

Aug 19th 2008 10:20PM Huge Veronica Mars fan. Huge Arrested Development fan. Hopefully neither one will ever be a movie. They had their time. It's over. Watch reruns if you must (don't understand why you would...but whatever) but please let us remember these shows fondly. A movie version would just cheapen the whole thing...

Aug 17th 2008 6:52PM Your post about Cruise trying to use his fat suit is right on the money. It was sloppy, poorly done and the weakest part of the film. I'm not even a Black fan but i'll take his bit tied to a tree over anything Cruise did in the whole film.

Aug 17th 2008 6:49PM Bummer about Cassell dropping out - fantastic actor and he's teamed before with Kassovitz to make fairly good films. I don't like Diesel's action films but I thought he did a great job in Find Me Guilty. Personally, I think he should veer more toward comedy roles like Dwayne Johnson and just dip into other projects as Diesel is funnier than he is intimidating.

Aug 17th 2008 2:33PM He was horrible. He took what could have been a funny character and Cruised-it. His inability to change his voice and body language resulted in every scene feeling like Tom Cruise in an old-guy-suit. Put a real character actor in the sequences and it would have been funny. With Cruise it's just a star reminding the world he has zero range....he can only be himself.
The movie suffered because of his presence.
