@SiriusDoggy

aside from this being a cinema camera, canon has another reason to not worry: only around 30 percent of Canon's revenue come from products like cameras...and i dont think Red makes copy machines
if you already own a Touch, this isnt such a bad deal. it is a 3.5 inch GPS unit with multitouch, 32gb of storage, does data over wifi, plays games, videos, and music and looks nice. it does TTS has all your contacts and everything all built in for integration with the map. it is bright enough to use in daylight and it actually has another purpose when it gets detached from the window. (does anyone actually listen to music over their Nuvi??)

now, ive never really used tomtom or garmin except at demo kiosks. their maps look like they are drawn in crayon and the screens vary in brightness from model to model. i do want to get my wife a GPS unit for the car (she gets lost), but while the screens are bigger, they dont have any special functionality beyond being a GPS unit and one that looks as nice as a Touch definitely costs more than $99. in fact, Name, to paraphrase Jules from Pulp Fiction "i double dog dare you to find me a nice, bright, widescreen GPS unit with TTS for $99.
AM General is still an american company in Indiana and they still make humvees for the DoD. However, Chinese companies (and companies around the world) currently make their own humvee knockoffs, and the Hummer Brand (which is not the same as a humvee), late of GM, will shortly be (or already is) owned by a chinese company. so sleep tight.
finally, netflix for PS3. this is perfect for whatever anime or foreign films you can't find at blockbuster or any local place. and to be honest, while Otis has several classics in his queue that are worth owning, the quality of a lot of current anime series makes streaming a much more smart. a quick example (though not anime) is Cutie Honey (if youre a Hideki Anno-curious fan). Try finding a place to rent that in the midwest; you can't....but I certainly wouldnt shell out 19.99 for a DVD of what turned out to be (to me) an eye-bleedingly bad movie. but toss it in your queue and its must easier to justify the cost as it is spread out over all the good movies you might watch.

after letting my netflix membership expire, i'm finally ready to go back.
i sense this will be a real boon to the businesses of back doctors. is that about 5+ pounds weighing down one side of a persons hip as they walk? there really should be a way to distribute the weight evenly.
don't worry. after 2.5 years in japan, the only Burger King I know of is on the Atsugi Air Base. I've seen a few wendy's in Tokyo, but never a BK. Besides, who needs BK when you can tap Freshness for a Negi-Miso Burger!
i used to be an avid FIFA fan. I cleaned up as Arsenal with Anelka and Bergkamp et al back when I started with '99. but then i discovered Winning 11 while living in Japan. it was a far superior playing experience.
why wait? head to canon.jp's site. find the EOS digital product page, click the EOS movie link, and then select 7D sample movie. i'm downloading it now.
a big FU...ha ha. actually, i had no reason to believe in the best in you...and you just vindicated my beliefs.

look, i hate glenn beck and i hate keith olberman. they are both phonies. pretentious blowhards. whether or not an inkling of truth can be found in what they say is besides the point (they never try to convince anyone of anything that they don't already believe). its all just childish crap. so if this engadget writer wants to poke fun at glenn beck, then just shut your trap and comment about the original topic.

News Corp hates e-readers/hardware that can stream digital content? sounds like a losing POV. but we already know that murdoch doesnt understand new technology. otherwise, he wouldnt have bought myspace.
From Wikipedia (so take it with a grain if you need to)

Fascism, pronounced /ˈfæʃɪzəm/, comprises a radical and authoritarian nationalist political ideology[1][2][3][4] and a corporatist economic ideology.[5] Fascists advocate the creation of a single-party state.[6] Fascists believe that nations and/or races are in perpetual conflict whereby only the strong can survive by being healthy, vital, and by asserting themselves in combat against the weak.[7] Fascist governments forbid and suppress criticism and opposition to the government and the fascist movement.[8]

"When government gives taxpayer money to private business it's basically fascism."

I like how you slide "basically" in there because you know you're full of shit. either you're writing this because you're 16 and don't know any better, or you're 80 and completely senile. or you're wearing your dr paul-tinfoil hat.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
