I love the incessant need to post "boot up / startup" times. How often are you booting? At work... let's see.... maybe once per month? At home.... let's see... I use "hibernate" exclusively. It takes about 15 seconds (after the BIOS) screen until I'm ready to login -- and the computer is ready-to-use at that point, not still loading in drivers, startup items, etc.. "Hibernate" should be the default for powering off, in my opinion. So much faster -- both for shutting down and booting up.

Shall we compare *those* numbers?
Like "satin sheets", you mean? I get you...
I've got a quad-core AMD box from Acer sitting under my desk as we speak (type). Although it has performed somewhat admirably, it has also featured some very funky quirks -- like freezing for a few moments when I open particular media files/applications. Never had another computer do that, and this is after multiple OSes, different harddrive, etc..

It's very strange, and I'm chomping at the bit to move along from this machine. I was taken in by Acer's low price, but I don't think I'd recommend their stuff at this point.
Shouldn't it read: "Two Games Included For Free"? I mean, including "two free games" isn't much of a boon, is it?
The Youtube link, for those of you who (like me) prefer NOT to install Quicktime...

Pretty much lovin' the tank. Man, I used to hack some people off with that in multiplayer....good times...
Stupid comment system.
Yeah. What's that all about?
Probably the vest.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
