@JChez

Polar does make HR monitors that broadcast in BT.
@Jono20

"at&t and iphone dominated world"

world is not dominated by at&t and iphone. lol. the us telecom markets maybe.
@Wwhat

depends on how the terms of the contract are worded, but they probably have to at least to be able to show that they are trying to stop unlicensed use. if they release a version that is hacked in couple of days they have difficult time convincing anyone that it was against their intentions.
and how exactly is nokia never innovating anything

"Nokia has a classic innovator's dilemma: they're so big and (at least to-date) have been so dominant that it's been hard for them to create innovative new products which might cannibalize their existing product lines."

and then suddenly produces science experiments

"The N900 feels more like a science experiment to me than a product that's designed for mainstream users"

try to at least be consistent in your nokia hatred.

how exactly is it not relevant or influential to provide literally billions of ppl a way to communicate with world? which actually improves their standard of living, makes their lives easier and makes them more productive, even bringing them out of poverty? how is that any less influential than proving couple of tens millions of americans mobile browser?

why don't you get a plane ticket and go observe the world? the emerging markets you look down your nose are going to be the economic superpowers of this century 2020. and they are going to own the little island on which you sip your coffee and munch your bagel.
As pointed out Nokia smartphone sales are up, and if you actually cared to take a look at the financials, the profit margin Nokia makes on mobile phones (including smartphones) is actually pretty nice, not razor thin.
so finally the "progress" promised in the flag is reaching brazil. no we just have to wait for the "order" part to be delivered.
penguin and tucan would be pretty damn exotic creatures in the wildlife of finland and norway. what's the matter, even people apparently interested in wildlife can't locate the most famous animals on right continents nowadays?
I really like Palm as pioneering company in the era of pda's before they morphed into smartphones, but they really did let ball drop big time and proprietary platform at this phase is really not cutting it. They should either license webos as soon as possible or jump into the Maemo bandwagon. Otherwise they're going to continue struggling and loosin shareholders' money.
so you guys finally managed to blackmail nokia to sponsor you. nice work!

"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
