Oct 6th 2009 3:45PM It wasn't immediately afterwards...I used the PS3 for a couple weeks on and off (not heavily, mostly for watching movies). Then, one day, I am in the XMB and it freezes up...no worries, I'll just restart...but then it wouldn't start, and I got the green, yellow, red light combo. Ugh...I was pretty tempted to get a new PS3, but I wanted to keep my backwards compatibility.
My 360 has RROD'd twice...this generation of hardware sucks. My NES from 1985 still runs fine!

Oct 6th 2009 2:41PM My 60GB PS3 got the yellow light of death after the update. I didn't really connect the two, but if it did cause it, then I would love to get back my $165.

Sep 22nd 2009 2:22PM You can buy a Linksys WRT-54GL router and install either DD-WRT or Tomato firmware and use it as a wireless extender...it is cheaper than this and the router can be used for other devices.
