To me, a hack is the insertion of code where it shouldn't really be, but will get the job done.
@Xzavier: They can find people's cell phones because cell phones are connected to cells, and the location of each cell is known.
They're probably highly geared enough that they won't turn unless powered.

You're right. We're not qualified to appreciate art - I feel ashamed at our presumption that maybe we were able to form our own opinions...
I'm more of the opinion that this art itself is trolling, done for shock value more than anything else. However, if the purpose of art is to elicit a response, isn't trolling one of the most effective art forms?
Because if you have to drive one anyway, why not minimise the damage you're doing?
There are certain other advantages to not burning coal!
There were plenty of MP3 players around before the iPod shuffle (and the iPod, for that matter), and they had screens back then too!
