In Italy we have a similar system called Telepass to pay highways' toll. To prevent that kind of problem you have to declare up to 3 license plates allowed to use your Telepass. When you drive thru the tollgate a camera shots you up, getting both the license plate and your face. I used it on an unauthorized car for a couple of weeks and they sent me a letter asking if I'd like to substitute an unused license plate for that one. They BigBrothers us... :-) Alessio.
There was a RUMOR that .MAC will gain Exchange-like functionality (push email + push iCal + push AddressBook). Maybe that's why they also update the name, not to be labeled like a cool-but-not-so-useful service.
INTERNATIONAL ROAMING? Does anyone know about roaming costs? I wasn't able to find that out on at&t site nor on apple site.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
