Really? How so?

I mean, a real elaboration of your comment, not some fanboy BS.
From the crowd that spent days b*tching about "haters".
ARRG! (Apple Rapid Response Guard) strikes again.

Now if you are critical of the Iphone, you "probably can't afford an iPhone so you choose to bash it instead"

Than slip into the prepaired script from Apple HQ.
Notice how these are the same people that are totally PO'd that people are being critical of the iPhone, yet they show up here to be critical of this phone?
Point out lack of features in iPhone = Call them jealous, and then break out the prepaired scrpit from Apple.

Hate to bust you, but that has been posted several times, just with diffrent wording, on several websites.

The Apple rapid response team has been working many sites over the past week like this.
Mossberg is an Apple shill. If he say anything critical of an Apple device, the land down under will freeze over!!

What else did you expect him to say?
"He didn't have a whole lot of time - and who wants a rushed product with half-assed software (MS products anyone?). IF this is the case, no angst here..."

You just knocked Microsoft for doing the same thing done here by Apple, then you gave Apple a complete pass!

Any company can do "software updates" for products. and when Microsoft say that's what they are going to do, are you going to be so forgiving?
No other company could get away with putting out a product in this way, but Apple, as usual, gets the wagons circled around it by writers who are more interested in protecting them.
Oh Please, Engadget, stop trying to play damage control with this half arsed made up rumor.

iPhone just lost a lot of people due to its lack of features, and you guys trying to rush in with a story about how it could "maybe" have some cool stuff later with software updates, so dont stay away, we got to help Apple, shill story is beyond lame.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
