Love me tender, give me tv.
I, for one, welcome our Doom-playing, second place "First!" Overlords.

I welcome their ridicule more.
There is more truth in 22 minutes of DS, than there is in 24 hours of "news" on Fox.
Not a fan of the 360...but I'll take one anyway! (I really just want the Old Spice...I'm almost out.)
@SteveM

I run an op with 3 times that number and also use 1gb. 1gb is PLENTY of RAM to run Vista in an office environment. PLENTY.

You won't need that kind of power unless you are running advanced video codecs in media content and games.
Good points...also...you have to wonder how much power the state/fed government will waste monitoring and controlling these thermostats. All of those computers and other machines (plus the fm broadcasters) will require a LOT of power to reach that large of an area so densely populated as Cali.
Please send me and a friend to New York (JFK).
In the digital era, content can be replicated infinitely for nearly no money. Live performance can't.

It's simple economics. One has monetary value, the other doesn't.
This is so true. My sister was using it when she came into the Mini-Apple a week ago to see me. Her GPS would have had her in the drink...it hadn't registered the fact that the bridge was gone at all.

She, being from Virginia, didn't know that it was out right ahead of where she was going and would need to detour. Thankfully, MOST people are capable of ignoring a device to actually driving according to road signs and what not..but still. An update would be nice.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
