Indeed gotrice90. The HTC Advantage runs windows Mobile on an ARM-class CPU with 5" screen and 8GB HDD, while the Shift that is presented here runs Vista on a 1.2 Ghz VIA CPU with 7" touch screen and a 30 GB HDD.
...and a LARGER screen.
in such a big device, they should have put something even more performing than what's in the Q1 Ultra.
Well I just realized they said "in post offices" so I would imagine they would be safer there and stand little chance (I didn't say NO chance) to be stolen.

EXACTLY my feeling that came right away!! Not that I would steal them, -I live in Europe- but I know mankind too well :-(
Yeah, BUT you NEED a microSDHC compliant phone!!!

These cards WILL NOT WORK in regular devices that use normal microSD cards.

Did they tell you that?!!

That's the case for standard SDHC cards and devices, so it has to be the same with those sub-standard microSH!T things!!
WOW,

EVERY shop in the whole world can use Apple's brand and products names, logos, pictures etc. in their shops, literature, website, etc. and setup an ipod center or ipod corner, etc. to advertize and sell ipods, and this guy couldn't use iPod Monday??

Talk about crazy, lunatic and inconsistent bastards who don't understand nothing and can't even get their right hand from their left!!!
Anyone noticed that it's lighter than their own R2H Origami/UMPC, which is smaller, has a much smaller display and no integrated keyboard 8-|
They will NEVER LEARN:

hard disks run hot, take a LOT of energy and break too easily.

Think about it that this phone prolly has a vibrating alarm!!!

Oh gosh, here goes my harddisk :(

8 GB SD cards are around the corner and probably will be out at the same time this phone will come on the market.

Yet SD cards have many more advantages:
- prolly 10 times smaller
- takes much less juice
- have a much longer life expectancy
- don't break after 2 weeks because of the vibrating alarm
- don't break if you drop your device
- can be used in other devices, prolly 15 categories right now (digicams, moviecams, PDAs, desktop, laptops, cellphones, GPS devices, radio-alarm clocks, portable DVD players, TV sets, etc.)
- YOU choose the storage size
- you KEEP the storage medium when swapping/upgrading to a new phone
- etc.

imagine the commercial arguments from the marketing dept (because of the sub-standard microSD card slot:

"We are sorry, but because our STUPID engineers chose to implement the WORST storage card technology available today IN THE WHOLE WORLD, you will be severly restricted in your storage possibilities:
- you have at best 8 times less storage capacity to store your favorite music, movies and pictures
- of the standard cards you may already own, NONE will fit into this device
- you will need yo buy many more sub-standard cards if you wish to exchange data between this device and all those you may already own
- your pictures will take up to 10x more time to be saved to the card
- your movies will take up to 1 min or even a lot more time to be saved to the card
- your cards will cost you more
- you will be severly restricted to find new cards
- the maximum card capacity (technology limit) will be a lot less than that of competing products
- etc."

Note that microSD used to be called TransFlash. This is EXACTLY the same technology, it's just a name change.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
