Huh? is that all you guys have?
How 'bout some facts?
Can you actually, logically argue any of the points made?
I'd like to hear a rational response to each line.

@Chronic: it's not a rant, it's a statement of facts. I love windows, I grew up on windows. I'm just disheartened at how a company with so much power behind them can suck so much. you drive a chrysler, don't you?

@Grumbles: It's gotten worse. Why Bigger and Faster? Ever wonder why newer versions of Windows require you to upgrade your computer hardware? Ever notice your productivity remains the same or is less even though your present computer is hundreds of times faster and more powerful than the one you had just five years ago?

Wake up people! It's a scam! You don't need a faster computer. You need a better operating system. Microsoft continuingly makes money by selling you the latest and greatest Windows. The latest Windows version is always the most inefficient yet, slowing down your fast computer. Also, now you have to upgrade all your other software too because different Windows versions are not compatible with each other! A hidden cost not mentioned at all. It's part of the scam.

@kangbp.nyc: That's all you got? really? Ask yourself this. Why would I need my web browser to stretch across my whole screen when no web pages are that wide? Full screen windows are a relic from crappy CRT monitors with 1024 x 768 resolutions. They are unnecessary any more.
Mac sizes the window according to the size of the content. Smart, no?
What Bashing? I'm listing things too keep in mind.
What lies? Can you name them?

@Boards: Bashing is childish.

Obviously none of you have ever really used a mac, since you clearly don't know what your talking about.
here are plenty of short comings with Apple, but you don't have a clue. Investigate them.
I, However am all too aquatinted with Windows.
There are plenty of short comings with Apple, but you wouldn't know them.

Nothing i've said has any emotional bias or perceptions. These are facts.
Except for the car thing, but that was poetic license. lol.
People, READ, INVESTIGATE, EDUCATE YOURSELVES.
Critical thinking is a skill that isn't taught in schools.
and peek isn't a knock off of expose?

I don't know guys.
This mac/windows war is bullshit.
The facts are that Microsoft is a corporation lead by business men, where as on the other side Apple is lead by artisans (craftspeople, intelligent, passionate and creative).
Very few employees in Microsoft care. Many hate their job.
Too many hens in the hen house.
Too much red tape bullsh*t.

Hey windows guys, why don't you try minimizing a window as ask yourself why parts of it are still on the screen for several seconds?
Why do dialogue boxes disappear, leaving the program hanging?
Why must you constantly do disk defrags, restarts, and reinstalls?
Why does your computer need a restart just to keep from slowing down?
Why is your computer not reliable?

Attention to detail and care are very apparent it the mac os.
It doesn't just look good (like vista/7).
It filters its way to the very core of the os, through the developers that create the programs and the community that supports them.

I'm not interested in hearing territorial, chest-beating retorts on how Windows is better.
Most of you probably drive Chevys, Fords and Chryslers. And look where they are.
Look what happens when a company only goes for profit and no longer creates a good product.

Microsoft, like MacDonalds has long lost it's soul.
looove the snow crash reference.
if you havn't read it, do it. Do it now.
Oh, and Steven Ericson's Malazan Book of the Fallen
oh yes... please let me win
haha grok... what a wicked book
everyone should read "stranger in a strange land" by Robert Heinlein
I agree, the screen is repulsive for what could be a top device.
and tabbed browsing please?
What about Toronto? Canada has ipods too ya know...
Serenity on HD- DVD BABY!!!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
