InvenSense boasts about Wii MotionPlus-powering IDG-600 motion sensor {Engadget}
Jul 15th 2008 6:04PM I'm betting it's dual-axis only, since everything they manufacture is dual-axis. I don't think I've seen a tri-axis MEMS that small, or that cheap, as yet. But some clarification would be nice.
Either way, my money's on dual-axis.
Nintendo unveils Wii MotionPlus accessory for 'unmatched precision' {Joystiq}
Jul 14th 2008 12:07PM So does that port on the end of the device look like it is to allow the nunckuk to attach? I hope so, and that it's not some dumb eject button.
Microsoft burns our eyes with Vista promo video {Engadget}
Apr 16th 2008 2:05PM Damn, major douche chills from that. This video is a tragedy, and a major blasphemy against The Boss.

Feb 14th 2008 4:02PM Well, Pit would be a good choice since he has the quasi-cupid bow and arrow and all, but I'm a dude so I don't know how well that would work out for me.
Princess Peach in her "Strikers" soccer uniform would do just fine, I assume. /me wants to win, my DS got stolen on a Southwest flight almost a year ago :(
Subscription-based Everex Zonbu laptop reviewed {Engadget}
Feb 14th 2008 1:55PM What amazes me is the introduction of these solid state drives when the price point on them is still so high. The AirBook, the new ThinkPad X300, this Zonbu monstrosity... We really have gotten to the point that physical storage is going to cost us more than storing data remotely. Forget the solid state drive; GoogleOS anyone?
'Faith and a .45' gunning for a publisher {Joystiq}
Jan 23rd 2008 5:14PM Complete rip-off of the title of the 1994 film "Love and a .45". Mmm, back when Renée Zellweger was young and hotter. Hey-o...

Today's strummiest video: Wii remote strumming interface {Joystiq}
Apr 20th 2007 10:02AM I'm totally impressed... I like how he played the chord progression from "While My Guitar gently Weeps" at the end of the clip. It doesn't look like it is super responsive just yet, as it sounds like it clips the midi tone when switching chords, but if he overlapped the tones when changing, he could rock that thing.
Next up would be to replace the midi tones with real guitar samples; then he'd be ready to rock some Cat Stevens and make all the chicks swoon.
Nissan's Intelligent Transportation System adds pedestrian avoidance {Engadget}
Apr 19th 2007 9:31AM Most of the time, I'm dodging homeless people in the city, and none of those dudes have cell phones. This isn't going to help me much...
Unless, Nissan's plan is to protect those that are more well to do, and clear the streets of the unwashed masses that are sans-cellphone. In which case, I say Nissan qualifies for the "Diabolical Plan of the Year" award.
Xbox 360 Elite: HDMI-enabled black unit in late April for $479, limited-edition {Joystiq}
Mar 20th 2007 12:12PM I'd just like to mention that the claim that Blu-Ray is outselling HD-DVD is not as sound as many would like to believe. The number on both sides are padded with free or discounted movie vouchers, and the date range for the sample is way too short.
I'm not ready to hear any nonsense from either camp as to who is winning the format war. Still too early, and I'm not buying either, for now.
