Jul 8th 2008 5:23AM I sure hope the manufacturers do come in, there are three spots for teams, the one Prodrive didn't use, Super Aguri's vacated spot and Red Bull want to unload Torro Rosso now customer cars are out.
VW could do some like Ferrari and run as Buggati or Lambo but have a VW or Audi badge on the nose. They've got plenty of racing history both old and new to draw on.
For Kia/Hyundai it could really lend some credibility to them in the european market, just make sure they beat the Force Indias.
On the subject of F1 in the US, it's in a very bad shape, unless a US Driver comes in to the sport with a similar impact Lewis Hamilton has had I can't see things changing.
I think the US needs 2 races a year to really get back there. Imagine a 3 week F1 back-to-back-to-back event, almost a mini series. East Coast, Canada then West Coast.

Mar 3rd 2008 5:45AM They could be using the common theory that is used in science fiction that if someone goes back and changes something a whole new timeline is made where anything that happened after the split no long counts, except to the person doing to time traveling.
So the loop could be:
1. Desmond and Penny break up
2. Desmond joins the army
3. Desmond goes to military prison then wants to go sailing to prove that he's worthy or something
4. Penny Tracks down Desmond at the stadium...
5. Desmond on the island
6. Desmond on the freighter
7. (new timeline) Desmond in army
8. (new timeline) tells Penny not to speak to him for 8 years.
9. (new timeline) Still goes to stadium but penny not there.
10. (new timeline) arrives on island...
and in the new timeline he still has knowledge of the old timeline.

Feb 25th 2008 6:37AM People don't actually think them saying 8 survived the crash and 2 of them died actually means 2 people are actually going to die do they?
Obivously Jacks whole story was a lie, and they have to say 2 people died for a reason. E.G. they had to say Claire died to account for Aaron, if she hadn't survived the crash, Aaron would also be dead. The question is who else's death they have to account for?

Feb 18th 2008 6:10AM To make a point similar to that made in 'Bowling for Columbine' here in the UK we play that exact same games and don't have school shootings, same goes for pretty much the rest of the world, the recent shooting in Germany being the only one I can recall.
