The guy who reviewed this has zero knowledge of satellite radio. He's impressed with features that satrads have had for years now. Wait a few more days/weeks until the die-hard XMers get these and can post their impressions. I'll have mine tomorrow :)
November 23 = Black Friday

Very smart marketing move since so many people will be out shopping that day anyway.

For those not familiar with Black Friday, see here: http://www.bf-07.com
Uh, it's been reported that the new company will likely keep the XM name, or less likely, become XM Sirius. XM will get top billing because of name recogntion.
Ordering mine online and keeping it sealed until someone hacks it to unlock it :)

And if it doesn't happen, I'll sell it on eBay and deduct the $599 as a "business expense" :P
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
