Unbox sucked. I used it on TiVo a few times to test it. The user interface was worthless. Movies were so hard to find. They had some movies that were able for purchase but not for rent. A complete mess. I want to know how this service is any different from ON Demand?
everything seems to work fine, but slow. also if you have calendar subscriptions didn't work for me. there's a show birthday calendar in pref panel, but that doesnt seem to work either. i'll cut apple some slack today. but just for today!
i thought that apple was only using itunes to sell more ipods anyway. the $$$ from itunes didn't really contribute that much to the bottom line right? to me the loser is nbc. screw the greedy bastards.
i don't get it.

i thought the whole pissing match between universal and itunes was that itunes wasn't willing to budge on it's .99/9.99 pricing structure and that apple wasn't strict enough with their copyright protection. so now they are on amazon selling singles and albums for less than itunes and sans DRM?

isn't this what itunes wanted in the first place? what message are they trying to send to jobs? i don't think he really cares where people buy their content from as long as they're buying ipods.

good move if this is the direction that they're going, but i bet that the pricing structure is temporary and that the greedy music industry bastards will raise their heads soon enough. mark my words.
I agree with the earlier posters. Businesses have to realize that they are no longer in charge of how things are sold to the consumer. It's the consumers who are in the driver's seat. If you make it difficult for consumers, then they'll just find an easier way.
going on 36 hours now. no phone. no ipod. no email. no bouqet of flowers from steve jobs sympathising with my plight. at this point i am completely numb and don't really care. during this weekend i can tolerate the incompetence, since having a phone is not that important. but if this continues into monday, i am going to be completely pissed off beyond belief.
God I am so PISSED! Sent my request in at around 730 last night. Now it's 8AM and still nothing! I'm a current AT&T customer. No number to port. Just a switching to new phone. To make matters worse, AT&T switched off my other phone. SO now I don't have any form of communications since I also use my cell as my home phone. I know I'm going to be less patient about the situation if I have to make a 4th call to AT&T.
So ridiculous. Got my iphone at 630 and left the store at 7. i've been sitting here ever since waiting for my damn phone to activate. it is not almost 10pm. you would think it would be pretty fast since i'm already an at&t customer, but nooooo. called customer service twice, but they told me i needed to sit and wait for the email. they couldn't even tell me an approximate time. i hate at&t.
just got my iphone home. going through the process of activating it and its the biggest pain in the ass. Even though I'm an existing customer, AT&T is telling me that its going to take antwhere from 1 to 6 hours to activate my phone. That's completely unacceptable.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
